“Serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”
1 Peter 4:10
We are actively involved in disaster recovery having sent teams to New Orleans in response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. We partner with Ho Farms in Ghana, West Africa, to assist in training farmers, and we support the school children of Kpenoe and Klefe, Ghana. St. Peter’s Preschool is in its 27th year ministering to preschoolers of the community. Every day, the church boldly reaches out – Gathering, Teaching, Serving, Seeking – to share gifts, to bring healing and wholeness, justice and peace to our world.
URGENT MISSION NEED: The end of the school year means more need for the children of Wayne County as school breakfast and lunch are no longer an option. You can help during "Feed a Family" month at People to People Ministries. The top 10 items needed to stock the food pantry are peanut butter, jelly, cereal, applesauce, soup, saltine crackers, pork & beans, spaghetti and sauce, mac & cheese. Drop off items at church to be delivered to People to People. Thank you!
Disaster Recovery
Pastor Jacquie and Jim McMillen, Norma and Paul Klingerman, Diane Borger, Ivan Ott, and Jon Orr worked on the restoration of this house and others in New Orleans through the Eastern Ohio Association Disaster Response Team and the United Church of Christ National Disaster Ministries. The next work trip will be January 31–February 8.
Ghana
Art supplies sent by church members with Pastor Jacquie are used by primary-age students in a local school in Ho, Ghana.
